The world was shocked after the sudden announcement that the recently-merged Warner Bros. Discovery would be canceling the nearly complete Batgirl film directed by Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) Ms. Marvel directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, and starring Leslie Grace as the titular Batgirl/Barbara Gordon. Amid the studio, Warner Bros. Discovery coming under fire from now ex-cast and crew alike, the Batgirl lead actress has decided to speak out about the cancelation — and convey her emotions through the power of song.

Fans would have been treated to a fun new DC superhero film with Grace at the helm alongside J.K. Simmons as father and Gotham City Police Department (GCPD) Commissioner Gordon, AKA James Gordon AKA Jim Gordon, as well as Michael Keaton properly returning to his iconic role as Batman/Bruce Wayne for the first time in years.

Unfortunately, we’ve split from that particular timeline, and the Warner Bros. Discovery Batgirl film will likely never be seen by the public.

It still remained a positive experience for the Barbara Gordon actress Leslie Grace, however, despite how saddening the news must have been. Taking to Twitter, the Batgirl star first posted a picture of herself in the Batgirl outfit and accompanied it with a message speaking about the pride and love and feels for the “incredible cast and tireless crew”.

“Querida familia!” (Dear family!) the actress with Dominican roots tweeted:

Querida familia! On the heels of the recent news about our movie “Batgirl,” I am proud of the love, hard work and intention all of our incredible cast and tireless crew put into this film over 7 months in Scotland.

Grace then posted a heartbreaking video in that same thread, which shows footage of her singing a quiet, acapella rendition of the Dolly Parton and Whitney Houston hit “I Will Always Love You”, as she zipped herself up into the Batgirl suit:

I feel blessed to have worked among absolute greats and forged relationships for a lifetime in the process! To every Batgirl fan – THANK YOU for the love and belief, allowing me to take on the cape and become, as Babs said best, “my own damn hero!”
#Batgirl for life! 🦇

In the tweet accompanying the video, she graciously thanks the fans for all the “love and belief”, and iterates how “blessed” she feels to have “worked among absolute greats and forged relationships for a lifetime in the process”. Grace then quotes Barbara Gordon AKA Batgirl, affectionately known as “Babs”, and says that taking on the cape allowed her to become “my own damn hero!”.

The lyrics of the song definitely hit home too, as the talented Grace sings:

Bittersweet memories
That is all I’m taking with me
So goodbye, please don’t cry
We both know I’m not what you need
And I will always love you

Leslie Grace is definitely an actor with pipes, who is known for having starred in Jon M. Chu and Lin-Manuel Miranda’s In the Heights (2021), a movie musical inspired by the 2008 Tony Award-winning Broadway musical of the same name.

Some upset fans replied to Grace’s post, expressing their support and love for the once-Barbara Gordon.

Twitter user @amurkymuc said (and almost 300 other fans agreed):

WE LOVE YOU LESLIE! YOU WILL FOREVER BE OUR BATGIRL!

And some others took the chance to remind fans of the #ReleaseBatgirl movement which gained some traction over the anti-Warner Bros. Discovery furor, @TheBrennaissance quote tweeting a link to the petition:

A petition to #ReleaseBatgirl is available

It’s a definite shame that Warner Bros. Discovery has decided to so unceremoniously shelve what could have been a great addition to the DC canon of superhero films.

But perhaps one day the stars will align and we will see Leslie Grace in the role of Batgirl once again.

How do you feel about this Batgirl cancelation? Would you have watched the movie? Comment down below!

Warner Bros. Discovery owns the wildly popular DC Extended Universe (DCEU) and the DC superhero film Justice League, which consists of Superman/Clark Kent (Henry Cavill), Wonder Woman/Diana Prince (Gal Gadot), Batman/Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck), Aquaman/Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa), The Flash/ (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg/Victor Stone (Ray Fisher).

The unreleased Batgirl is a DC film directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah would have followed the exploits of Leslie Grace’s Barbara Gordon, daughter of Commissioner Gordon of the Gotham City Police Department (GCPD), in a more domestic role as James “Jim” Gordon (J. K. Simmons).

Jacob Scipio would have played Anthony Bressi, mob boss in Gotham City, and Brendan Fraser would have been Ted Carson / Firefly, a pyromaniac and sociopathic veteran.

An alternate-DC universe Batman AKA Gotham City elite and wealthy socialite Bruce Wayne is played by Michael Keaton, returning to his iconic role.

After a year and a half of posting social media content of his prized Subaru BRZ Lightning McQueen replica, TikToker Chris/@ninefivegarage was sued by Disney for “closely resembling their intellectual property.”

Lightning McQueen, voiced by Owen Wilson, is the animated star of Disney’s Cars (2006). The first in a series of 3 films, Cars is about a rookie race car who hits a detour on his way to a career defining race and strands himself in the forgotten town of Radiator Springs. It is there that he discovers what truly matters in life thanks to some new friends and tough lessons.

Cars and its sequels Cars 2 (2011) and Cars 3 (2017) were the inspiration behind Chris’ vehicle, which he’s showcased in multiple viral social media posts. Over time, this attention earned him the title of the largest Lightning McQueen themed account in the world.

It also landed him in some legal hot water. In early April, Chris received a letter from Disney and took to TikTok to share the news. The lawsuit announcement reached more than 1.2 million followers and kicked off a several months long legal battle.

The minute long video was viewed more than 17 million times and earned more than 23,000 comments, informing viewers of his intent to lawyer up.

In the next update, Chris quipped about small changes pitched by commenters that would differentiate his car from Lightning McQueen’s likeness, potentially allowing him to avoid legal trouble. Ideas like changing the numbers on the door, or alternatively naming the car “Thunder McKing” were just two of the proposed solutions.

Chris continued to post content as usual for months without mentioning the lawsuit before finally posting another update in early June.

Again, he joked about the predicament he found himself in by “upsetting the mouse.”

The video, captioned “disney lawyers are no joke,” opens with a knelt Chris with a Disney merchandise bag over his head, acting out a scene in which he’s forced to read the words “the car behind me is not actually Lightning McQueen.”

Still, Chris pressed on, posting Lightning McQueen content through the end of July when he shared the “good news and bad news” that he and Disney had finally reached a legal settlement.

Ultimately, Disney would not allow Chris to continue to make content with his Subaru BRZ replica as it was just too identical to the character. They did, however, come to a compromise. Disney signed off on Chris using a different model car for his famed channels, prompting a new Lightning McQueen build using a Corvette.

In true Chris fashion, he posted one final update in which he read a satirical version of the legal documents sent to him by Disney, citing that they were most upset that he “created the world’s first flawless replica.”

This week, we reported on a Tweet from Hocus Pocus (1993) star Bette Midler that faced criticism for transphobic rhetoric. The controversy comes just months before the September 30 release of Hocus Pocus 2 (2022), which features Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy reprising their roles as the spooky Sanderson Sisters.

Midler took to Twitter on July 4 to discuss women’s rights, a hot topic after the Supreme Court officially overturned Roe v. Wade last month, leading to abortion bans in over a dozen states. Midler wrote:

WOMEN OF THE WORLD! We are being stripped of our rights over our bodies, our lives and even of our name! They don’t call us “women” anymore; they call us “birthing people” or “menstruators”, and even “people with vaginas”! Don’t let them erase you! Every human on earth owes you!

While Midler, a New York City resident and Tony Award winner,  has made it clear that she supports abortion access, fans were frustrated that she chose to focus on the terminology surrounding abortion rather than abortion rights.

Terms like “pregnant people” and “people with uteruses” include transgender and nonbinary community members. Not everyone with a uterus is a woman, so this language is more inclusive and accurate.

On July 5, Midler took to Twitter once again to defend her initial Tweet, writing:

PEOPLE OF THE WORLD! My tweet about women was a response to this fascinating and well written piece in the NYT on July 3rd.  tinyurl.com/2p9dw2th. There was no intention of anything exclusionary or transphobic in what I said;  it wasn’t about that.

It was about the same old shit women – ALL WOMEN – have been putting up with since the cavemen. Even then, men got top billing. But seriously, folks, if anyone who read that tweet thinks I have anything but love for any marginalized people, go to Wikipedia and type in my name.

I’ve fought for marginalized people for as long as I can remember. Still, if you want to dismiss my 60 years of proven love and concern over a tweet that accidentally angered the very people I have always supported and adored, so be it.

But the truth is, Democracy is slipping through our fingers! I’m all in on trying to save Democracy for ALL PEOPLE. We must unite, because, in case you haven’t been paying attention, divided we will definitely fall.

Midler, who was given a Kennedy Center Honor in 2021, has come under fire for insensitive comments on multiple occasions in the past. Just one day after allegations of transphobia, Midler shared a photo that many fans called “racist” and “Islamophobic.”

Representative Stephanie Byers from Kansas responded to Midler, asking her to voice support for trans men and women specifically:

Bette, I’m the first transgender Native American elected to a state legislature in the US. People against trans women are using your tweet as proof that even liberals are against the trans community. If that isn’t the case, specifically say trans men and women are men and women

Midler hasn’t responded to Byers or said anything else regarding allegations of transphobia.

Inside the Magic will report on any significant updates to this story.

Midler, who was given a Kennedy Center Honor in 2021, has been vocal on Twitter in defense of women’s rights. The Supreme Court officially overturned Roe v. Wade last month, leading to abortion bans in over a dozen states. On July 5, Midler shared a controversial digitally altered photo of the Supreme Court justices:

In the photo, justices that voted to overturn Roe v. Wade are dressed in traditional Islamic garments and fake beards, while the three dissenters appear unedited. Images like this one are typically used to imply that the United States is headed towards stricter, religious-inspired laws, like Sharia in the Muslim faith.

However, fans were quick to point out that most facets of Sharia Law allow for abortion up to a certain point, making the comparison inaccurate and offensive. @IronStache wrote:

Sharia law allows for abortions. Really no need to drag Islam.

Charlotte Clymer, a politically active writer, also replied to Midler, asking her to reconsider her position:

You know, Bette, we have an entire cultural and political apparatus of Christofascists here in the U.S. that are attempting to dominate every area of public life, and meanwhile, every Muslim American in Congress is pro-choice and pro-LGBTQ. What does this say to them?

Another fan, @literallysofie, was more directly frustrated with Midler, calling the Tweet Islamophobic and racist, as well as referencing Midler’s earlier transphobic Tweet:

you’re like convinced that your unfunny liberal shitposting is some kind of higher level ex-patriotic contrarianism project but you’re actually just overtly transphobic, islamophobic, and racist

Midler, a New York City resident and Tony Award winner, hasn’t commented on the allegations that the photo is racist or Islamophobic but remains active on Twitter at the time of the publishing of this article.

Hocus Pocus 2 hits Disney+ on September 30, 2022. The first trailer came out just over a week ago and has fans excited to see Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy reprise their iconic roles as the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus (1993).

Though most of the discussion around Hocus Pocus 2 (2022) this week has focused on the trailer, some fans are furious with one of the film’s leading witches.

Bette Midler took to Twitter on July 4 to discuss women’s rights, a hot topic after the Supreme Court officially overturned Roe v. Wade last month, leading to abortion bans in over a dozen states. Midler wrote:

Terms like “pregnant people” and “people with uteruses” are used to include transgender and nonbinary community members. Not everyone with a uterus is a woman, so this language is more inclusive and accurate.

Author Roxane Gay immediately responded to Midler, writing:

No one is trying to erase women with inclusive language about people who need abortion care. No one is calling you anything but what you prefer. You should extend that courtesy in return.

@LouisatheLast also responded, kindly asking Midler to reconsider her position and understand why people are transitioning to a more inclusive language:

Bette, this is disappointing to see from you. These are terms we use to include trans men and non-binary people who can get pregnant. It is absurd and dangerous to be lumping attempts at trans inclusivity in with right wing attempts to control our bodies as threats

Trans people did not overturn Roe V Wade. Trans people tend to be one of the most pro-choice groups of people you’ll ever meet, as bodily autonomy in medical care is kind of crucial to trans existence. They are not your enemy

Crystal, a Drag Queen known for being featured on the first season of RuPaul’s Drag Race United Kingdom, attempted to reassure Midler that no one was taking away women’s right to be called women:

The fight for women’s rights INCLUDES trans people – trans rights do not erode women’s rights. We’re all fighting this together and this trans-exclusionary rhetoric does NOTHING to help that. Bette – you are a woman. Some other people who give birth are not women. That’s ok!

These three tweets are among thousands criticizing the iconic Sanderson sister, including many comparing this controversy that could taint Hocus Pocus 2 to how J.K. Rowling has ruined Harry Potter for many fans with similar transphobic rhetoric. @Rahul75 wrote:

This kind of TERF ideology has been amplified and justified largely thanks to JK Rowling and her ilk. The sad part is that they are winning the rhetorical battle. Seeing this from Bette Midler just breaks my heart.

Many fans have called Midler, who was recognized at the Kennedy Center Honors in 2021, a TERF (Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminist)- a term for feminists that exclude the rights of transgender women from their activism.

Mider has remained active on Twitter since July 4 but hasn’t further addressed the allegation that she posted a transphobic Tweet.

Minions: The Rise of Gru (2022) is the latest installment in Illumination’s Despicable Me franchise. It grossed a whopping $158 million in its first four days at the box office, making it the largest Independence Day weekend release in cinematic history.

The film tells the backstory of the lovable yellow creatures as they meet young Gru, set years before the events of Despicable Me (2010).

Though much of the demand for Minions: The Rise of Gru was from children and families – the film’s target audience- some of it came from the meme-ification of the Despicable Me franchise.

This follows a similar social media trend in which users feigned excitement for Sony’s Morbius (2022), leading to a theatrical rerelease that flopped more than the original premiere.

The events surrounding Minions: The Rise of Gru may have given Illumination more profit than Sony received for Morbiusbut it’s also caused more damage. Young fans have been kicked out of theaters for unruly behavior, some going so far as to damage movie screens permanently.

How Did The #Gentleminions trend start?

The #Gentleminions trend started on TikTok ahead of the release of Minions: The Rise of Gru. The group comprises teenage and young adult fans of the Minions (2015) sequel. Most of the Gentleminions are respectful, simply dressing in full suits/formal attire or in Minion costumes to attend the film.

On July 2, a viral video showed young men in suits and yellow Minions costumes hurling bananas at a movie theater screen, chanting and causing chaos just a few minutes into a screening of Minions: The Rise of Gru:

@ayoletsgrub

we were well behaved minions 😤 the movie was like 2 minutes in until they kicked everyone out #minions #minionsriseofgru #minion #despicableme

Later, a movie theater employee confirmed that the young Guests caused permanent damage to the fragile movie theater screen, which will cost thousands of dollars to replace.

A former movie theater employee expressed concern about the impact this would have on the lower-wage workers at the movie theater in a TikTok:

“The company is going to make up for lost costs somewhere,” @movie_daddy explains. “The easiest cost to cut is labor. That means they are going to not schedule their employees as much as they should. So the employee who works 35 hours a week in order to survive will now suddenly be only working 25 hours a week. And when you’re living paycheck to paycheck and you rely on that job, that is a huge hit.”

Though this was the most viral disturbance, it certainly wasn’t the first. On July 4, Twitter user @CultureCrave posted a photo of a sign from a movie theater stating that any Guests in suits or any formal attire would be banned from seeing Minions: The Rise of Gru

In another viral video, a movie theater employee warned Guests that screaming, clapping, and any unruly behavior would not be tolerated during the Minions: Rise of Gru screening.

“We will call the cops on you,” the employee says in the viral video. “Also, it is against the law to record… if we see you recording, we won’t even give you a warning. We’ll just call the cops.”

@3CFilmss shared the full pre-screening warning on Twitter:

Headed to theaters soon? Here’s what to expect from Minions: The Rise of Gru:

This summer, from the biggest global animated franchise in history, comes the origin story of how the world’s greatest supervillain first met his iconic Minions, forged cinema’s most despicable crew and faced off against the most unstoppable criminal force ever assembled in Minions: The Rise of Gru.

Long before he becomes the master of evil, Gru (Oscar® nominee Steve Carell) is just a 12-year-old boy in 1970s suburbia, plotting to take over the world from his basement. It’s not going particularly well. When Gru crosses paths with the Minions, including Kevin, Stuart, Bob, and Otto—a new Minion sporting braces and a desperate need to please—this unexpected family joins forces. Together, they build their first lair, design their first weapons, and strive to execute their first missions.

When the infamous supervillain supergroup, the Vicious 6, oust their leader—legendary martial arts fighter Wild Knuckles (Oscar® winner Alan Arkin)— Gru, their most devoted fanboy, interviews to become their newest member. The Vicious 6 is not impressed by the diminutive, wannabe villain, but then Gru outsmarts (and enrages) them, and he suddenly finds himself the mortal enemy of the apex of evil. With Gru on the run, the Minions attempt to master the art of kung fu to help save him, and Gru discovers that even bad guys need a little help from their friends.

Featuring more spectacular action than any film in Illumination history and packed with the franchise’s signature subversive humor, Minions: The Rise of Gru stars a thrilling new cast, including, the Vicious 6: Taraji P. Henson as cool and confident leader Belle Bottom, whose chain belt doubles as a lethal disco-ball mace; Jean-Claude Van Damme as the nihilistic Jean Clawed, who’s armed (literally) with a giant robotic claw; Lucy Lawless as Nunchuck, whose traditional nun’s habit hides her deadly nun-chucks; Dolph Lundgren as Swedish roller-skate champion Svengeance, who dispenses his enemies with spin kicks from his spiked skates; and Danny Trejo as Stronghold, whose giant iron hands are both a menace to others and a burden to him.

The film also stars Russell Brand as Young Dr. Nefario, an aspiring mad scientist, Michelle Yeoh as Master Chow, an acupuncturist with mad kung fu skills, and Oscar® winner Julie Andrews as Gru’s maddeningly self-absorbed mom.

Steered by the franchise’s original creators, Minions: The Rise of Gru is produced by visionary Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri and his longtime collaborators Janet Healy and Chris Renaud. The film is directed by returning franchise filmmaker Kyle Balda (Despicable Me 3, Minions), co-directed by Brad Ableson (The Simpsons) and Jonathan del Val (The Secret Life of Pets films), and features the iconic voice of Pierre Coffin as the Minions and a killer ’70s soundtrack courtesy of legendary Grammy-winning music producer Jack Antonoff.

This weekend, we reported on wild Guests that were banned from a movie theater within two minutes of the start of a screening of Minions: The Rise of Gru (2022). In a now-viral video, the Guests hurled bananas at the movie theater’s screen, referencing a quote from an earlier film in the Despicable Me franchise.

Now, one TikTok creator alleges that the Guests permanently damaged the screen and could have negatively impacted some employees. @movie_daddy shared a comment from @landonthomas30, who claims to work at the movie theater. The comment reads:

Additionally, he recommends the theater take legal action against the Minions: The Rise of Gru fans. In another video, @movie_daddy clarifies that while he doesn’t feel bad for a massive theater chain, like AMC, he feels for the employees that have to deal with the fallout:

Amid the whopping success of the movie Minions: The Rise of Gru (2022), movie theaters are now banning Guests attempting to participate in a viral TikTok trend after “recent disturbances.”

Saying the sequel to Minions (2015), and the fifth film in the Despicable Me franchise, is well received by audiences would be an understatement, as fans of the franchise are literally going “bananas” over the newest release.

The movie has become somewhat of a meme on social media platforms like TikTok, Twitter, and YouTube. While the demand for the film is actual, hundreds of thousands of fans are joining in in a somewhat “ironic” manner, similar to the reaction to Sony’s Morbius (2022), although Minions: The Rise of Gru has benefited far more from becoming a meme.

The most notable trend has been the “Gentleminions” on TikTok, which consists of groups of Guests dressing in formal attire to attend the movie, bringing bananas into the theater, and having overly excited reactions throughout the screening. Some Guests have also been seen entering movie theaters in full Minion attire, dressed all in yellow, wearing overalls, and even painting their faces to resemble the iconic goggles and smile characteristic of these lovable sidekicks.

However, there have been several reports of these groups behaving disruptively during the screenings, ruining the experience for families and fellow moviegoers, causing the screenings to be stopped, the disruptive Guests to be kicked out of the theater, and even involving the police in some cases.

This disruptive behavior has caused theaters to start banning moviegoers who try to participate in this viral trend. Culture Crave (@CultureCrave) shared an image on Twitter of an announcement posted in an unspecified movie theater banning Guests trying to watch the new Minions movie in formal attire.

Theaters are starting to ban #GentleMinions groups from entering due to ‘recent disturbances’

#Minions2

The announcement reads:

Due to recent disturbances following the #Gentleminions trend, any group of Guests in formal attire will be refused entry for showings of Minions: The Rise of Gru.

It is no surprise more movie theaters around the country will follow these new measures to ensure the enjoyment of Guests, especially families, due to the nature of the movie, the safety of their employees, and the integrity of their theaters, as there have been reports of screens being damaged due to Guests hurling bananas and other items during screenings.

This bizarre trend has received mixed reactions, from those who don’t understand why anyone would attend a movie theater in a tuxedo to those saying viewers are unaware of how bad the situation is in movie theaters.

Marcus Whelan (@whelan0kkult) compared this trend to banning cosplayers for premieres of the Star Wars franchise or any other famous movie, not understanding why this trend was an issue.

Why is this an issue?? Next they will be banning cosplayers for Star Wars events. Ect.

User @luis_n_ye commented they didn’t see the problem, as people were “getting their money,” assuming they were referring to Guests getting their money’s worth, and that workers were “finally doing what they [get paid] for.” This sparked a debate on its own, causing several movie theater employees to reply to this tweet describing the terrible condition theaters are left in after the screenings, and the behavior Guests engage in.

I don’t see the problem, their getting their money and workers are finally doing what they pay for!

Kevy Bear (@Blueeyeddevil72) commented on a completely different experience, saying that sharing the theater with 15 high school boys in suits had made their two-year-old enjoy the movie even more as they joined in the cheering and clapping.

We went this weekend and there were like 15 high school boys in suits. They clapped and hooted and cheered. My 2 year old loved it. Got into with them. They made it more fun. #LetthemGru

Unfortunately, not everyone shares similar experiences, as we can see in a video shared by Jorge (@_Not_Jorge_), where a group of “Gentleminions” nearly started a fight with a family after throwing popcorn and drinks around the theater.

I don’t think some of you know how bad it js

The Universal Pictures and Illuminations Studios film is projected to do astronomical numbers. Minions: The Rise of Gru has grossed an estimated $155 million over its four-day opening weekend, blowing out box office draws after surpassing $200 million worldwide by July 3 (just two days into its US opening).

Tim Allen, the Disney star behind Buzz Lightyear in the Toy Story and Scott Calvin/Santa Claus in the Santa Clause franchise, recently got social media fired up, again, with a highly insensitive tweet that aims to “include” and “offend” everyone equally.

At last I have a pronoun that includes and maybe offends everyone equally: “Hey you.”

The tweet quickly racked up all sorts of reactions regarding identity, pronouns, and people who promote their proper use. From those who said they prefer calling people “freaks” and other words Captain America (Chris Evans) would certainly not agree with, to those who took Allen’s tweet with humor, saying they prefer using “dude” to address others.

Some, like Justin (@soonerpcv), decided to remain neutral in this argument and tweeted that, while he doesn’t necessarily agree with many of Allen’s personal opinions, he does appreciate his work.

Don’t necessarily agree with many of your personal opinions, but I do appreciate you. Love your work!! You should’ve been Buzz!!

A couple of weeks ago, Tim Allen also sparked debate as he criticized Disney’s pro-LGBTQIA+ stance.

Took some kids to Disneyland and overheard a 13 year old boy wondering if he may be pansexual since he loves skillets.

We recently saw Bette Midler, another famous star starring in Disney’s Hocus Pocus and the film’s upcoming sequel, under fire as well after a “profoundly insensitive” tweet regarding last month’s baby formula shortage.

Tim Allen will reprise his role as Scott Calvin/Santa Claus in the upcoming Disney+ series The Santa Clauses. The official synopsis for this project reads as follows:

“The Santa Clauses” is set some time after the events of “The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause” and picks up with Scott Calvin on the brink of his 65th birthday. Realizing he can’t be Santa forever as he suddenly starts to lose his Santa magic, he sets out to find a suitable replacement Santa while preparing his family for a new adventure in a life south of the North Pole.

Allen will be joined by Elizabeth Mitchell, returning as Carol Newman/Mrs. Claus, Austin Kane and Elizabeth Allen Dick, Tim Allen’s real-life daughter, Kal Penn, Rupali Redd, Devin Bright, and Matilda Lawler.
